About
My name’s Babra. I’m originally from Kenya but moved with my Mum to the US in the year 2022. I am a kind person and I value diversity. I love sports and specifically soccer, a game that I have played since the age 9 years. I have won awards with this game but I have also suffered injuries, some of which were naively treated exposing me to more harm than good. This is the reason I joined a Biology Major, which has emphasis to Pre-Physical therapy because I intend to join a PT school, learn all about bones, muscles, tendons, nerves and blood vessels so that I will use the knowledge to prevent possible harm similar to what I was predisposed to. I would love to see evidence based treatment modalities being put in place even at the lowest level of play. This means for injuries occurring at home, school,in the park and anywhere.
I hope to take an active role in community teaching about prevention of, and appropriate initial management of injuries to promote full or at least near full recovery. I appreciate that physical pain in individuals is detrimental to a country’s economy as hurting individuals cannot work and most a times, will require a second person to help them accomplish their Activities of Daily living.
Other than my coursework,I love supporting the needy. In high School,I started a movement named “A coin a day” where students would deposit coins in a designated pot, and the weekly collections would help purchase sanitary towels, pay transport home and offer pocket money to the students in need.
Back home,I am an obedient child and my Mum has always been very proud of me.She has single handedly brought me up and I have promised her no regrets for her efforts.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
My ultimate is to join a Physical Therapy School. I intend to work with athletes and sports clubs as part of the team to tone them for events, and handle eventualities such as injuries.
In addition, I aim to become a soccer coach someday. With PT knowledge I’ll not only teach my team how to handle the ball, but also to understand the body mechanisms to avoid injury and when inevitably an injury occurs,I’ll then be actively involved in the healing dynamics.- Graduate school interests
