Avery Baker

Hi, my name is Avery, and I am a sophomore at my local high school. In addition to being a student, I am also a second-year varsity cheerleader, student council member, National Honors Society member, and HOSA member. I have been cheering since I was 12, and it has been my passion ever since. In addition to high school cheer, I am also part of an all-star cheer program that secured the third-place finish in the all-star world competition last year.

I love cheering, but I am also passionate about animals. I love all types of animals and spend my free time helping my mom with the many foster animals she cares for. This includes bottle-feeding newborn puppies or kittens, caring for sick or injured dogs and cats, and helping them find loving homes.

In my life, I have had the good fortune to visit numerous locations across the globe where I was able to experience different cultures and see breathtaking locations. I have traveled to amazing places and seen things such as the terracotta army in Xi'an, the Great Wall of China, the Louvre and Eiffel Tower in Paris, the Parthenon in Greece, the Colosseum in Rome, the Sistine Chapel in Vatican City, and many more. I hope to continue to travel and immerse myself in other cultures into adulthood.

One of my future goals is to finish in the top 10% or even one of the top 10 students in my class. I would also like to continue cheering while attending college, majoring in biology and eventually pursuing a career in dentistry. Scholarships and financial assistance will be a driving factor in furthering my education and chasing my dream.
