Goals and interests

Career goal

My professional goal is to pursue a career as a physician, with a specific focus on high-impact specialties that combine surgical precision with critical patient care. I am particularly drawn to Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN) and Gynecologic Oncology, as I am passionate about advancing women’s health and providing expert care through complex, life-changing diagnoses. Additionally, I am interested in the fast-paced, diagnostic challenges of Emergency Medicine, where quick thinking and decisive action are essential. Ultimately, I aim to work in a field that allows me to support patients during their most vulnerable moments while contributing to the overall advancement of the medical community.

Graduate school interests

My academic ambition is to enroll in a medical program that emphasizes holistic care and a patient-centered philosophy. I am specifically interested in the University of Utah School of Medicine, the Brigham Young University Medical School, and the Noorda College of Osteopathic Medicine. Whether I pursue an MD or a DO degree, my goal is to attend an institution that values treating the entire person; integrating physical, mental, and preventative health. These schools align with my commitment to compassionate medicine and my desire to provide comprehensive care within my future community.

Outside the classroom

I’ve always believed in staying active and well-rounded, whether I’m tackling a physical challenge or a creative project. Right now, I’m training for an Ironman triathlon, a goal that has taught me a lot about personal grit and how to manage my time effectively. I also spend a lot of time working with horses and livestock, which has given me a strong work ethic and a deep sense of responsibility. My interest in the medical field often carries over into my hobbies like baking and cooking, where I enjoy the 'science' and precision behind it all. Whether I’m exploring the outdoors or spending time with my family, I strive to stay balanced, motivated, and ready to give back to my community.
