Detach from Technology with a Good Read
If I give you some books that make you want to detach from your technology you probably laughing, but I assure these books will have ready to take a break from all gadgets. For people that aren’t into reading like I am I suggested referring to the NY Times for ideas on what to read. The books that I describe can all be found at http://www.nytimes.com/best-sellers-books/trade-fiction-paperback/list.html . First up we have is called Me before You by Jojo Moyes I would recommend this book for anyone who loves romantic novels. Moyes is best known as romantic novelist as well as an English journalist. Next you have “One With You” by Sylvia Day a great read for anyone again for anyone who loves romance novels but this book is about fighting for a committed love that could break them apart or free them it’s the last series of the Crossfire Series. My favorite author is James Patterson and his book is called The Murder House; James Patterson is great read if you enjoy reading about fictional psychologist. “A Man Called Ove” by is about this old man who gets new neighbors that ended changing everything. This book is relatable mainly because we all have at least one grumpy neighbor that is just never happy. My favorite book on the list was” Luckiest Girl Alive” by Jessica Knoll and the whole book was about a woman working as the writer of NY Magazine when her life is turned upside down after secrets from her past are revealed. “The Little Paris Book Shop” by Nina George and its based in this little Parisian shop that administers books in the hope of mending broken hearts but the twist is that towards the end he finally decides to confront his own longtime heartbreak. This book will really tug at heartstrings; “My Grandmother Asked Me to Tell She’s Sorry” by Fredrik Backman the entire book is based on the two main characters which is the granddaughter and grandmother. In the book the grandmother passes away and leaves a series of letters for granddaughter to delivery to each person listed on the letter. The books I have listed above I’ve read and are amazing reads. These books made me put down my gadgets and just curl up in bed and become one with the book. While I understand that these books may not make you want to drop your gadgets and just lay down and read but at least when you decide to read you have an idea. Reading doesn’t always have to be boring sometimes you just need a great read to grab your attention. Even joining a book club may be a good idea for someone who isn’t an avid reader such as myself. These are just a some of the books I’d suggest but if you want more great reads or ideas NY Time’s bestseller is a great place to start; Barns n Noble also offers Book recommendations based on your interest and likes.
