Erik Collins Short Bio
Mar 23,2015
My name is Erik Collins and I am currently on my 2nd semester of graduate school at Northern Arizona University. I am pursuing my Masters in Administration with an emphasis in Health Sciences. Also I am working as a graduate assistant athletic trainer for the NAU football team. I chose this masters degree to help because I think it would help me if I get a Director of Sports Medicine position at a university someday or as a Head Athletic Trainer in the NFL. I didn't learn much about the administrative side during my undergrad so this degree is very beneficial.
I earned my undergrad at the University of North Dakota with a bachelor of science in Athletic Training with a minor in Psychology. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at UND because it helped me pass my Board of Certification test so I am now a certified athletic trainer and licensed for the state of Arizona. During my time at UND, I was lucky enough to intern with the San Diego during training camp of the summer of 2013. It was an amazing experience and helped me with networking in the future.
I am so proud to be the Graduate Student Achiever Scholarship recipient! I would like to thank the Honor Society for awarding me this scholarship
