Erika Lerma: My Graduate Student Achiever Scholarship!

Dec 10,2015

My name is Erika Lerma, and I am currently a Social Studies Composite certified  teacher at Cigarroa High School in Laredo, Texas.  I am also the proud mother of three little boys who are the reason that I push myself both academically and professionally.   While I am a full-time teacher; I am also a full-time student who is currently enrolled at Lamar University which is based out of Beaumont, Texas.  I am pursuing a master’s degree in School Counseling.  Between my three sons and my mortgage, it is becoming more and more difficult to also afford my classes; so this scholarship will go a long way in assisting me to continue and finish my master’s degree. It will help me to pay for almost three classes while I save up for the remaining classes after that.  I cannot thank HonorSociety.Org enough for this great opportunity, and I promise you that it will not be squandered.
