How My Scholarship Will Benefit Me

Mar 16,2015

I am currently a freshman majoring in nursing at California State University Chico. So far I have had a wonderful college experience and would not have wanted it to happen any other way. Before entering college I was a little nervous about classes since I knew the pre-nursing program at Chico was challenging. Although, I kept telling myself that no matter how hard it got, I always had to just try my hardest and give it my all. I spent countless hours studying for classes like Human Culture Diversity for Anthropology, Human Physiology, Speech and Communication Fundamentals, Basic Nutrition, and Principles of Psychology. By the end of the semester I had finished with a 4.0 GPA. It took a lot of hard work, time, and effort. It also took a lot of dedication and perseverance. I was recognized by Chico State for my GPA and have now been placed on the Dean's List, which for me, is a huge accomplishment. This semester I taking Human Anatomy, United States History, Critical Thinking, Ethics, Ecology and Religion, and Media Values Journalism and I have been working just as hard to be able to achieve the same grades that I received last semester. College has truly given me the opportunity to be the best student I can be, and for that I am forever grateful.

In addition to my Spring 2015 courses, I will also be taking classes over the Summer 2015 course. I plan to take Statistics as well as Child Development. The scholarship that I have received from the Honor Society will be used for paying for these courses. I am more than grateful for the money I have received and I feel extremely privileged to be able to take courses over the summer term. The Honor Society has supplied me with an opportunity that I will forever be thankful for.
