Studying Abroad is the most important part of college. It is both stressful and exciting.

Study abroad is very interesting because it looks good on your resume when you want to get a job. It looks good when you have a bit of global knowledge and you are so flexible to leave your family and go to another country and study. It is hard but it challenges you to learn a new language and culture. To be able to tolerate another culture is very impressive. It is very expensive to study abroad and it is very important to learn ways to live cheap. Even if your family owns an empire and you are extremely rich, it is important to realize that being cheap will help you in the future to manage you own finances well.

House: Some schools have families that allow students from other countries to live with them while being in a new country. This is usually free and they also feed you. It is very nice to have a nice family to live with and try new food for some time (try not to add too much weight). It also helps you feel at home and you can become part of the family you live with and get to meet lots of new people who would make your study abroad experience the best. It is also very nice for you to have people who can help you practice the new language of your new country.

Food: It is the best way to eat at home and not eat at all the restaurants in the new place. It is very tempting to want to eat out all the time. If you eat out a lot and then get used to it, then you lose a lot of money. The best way to eat is to try out new recipes at home and cooking is very nice to be studying and still be able to learn some new styles of cooking. It would help to eat at home instead of the exquisite restaurants.

Books: It is best way to borrow books from library or other borrowing techniques that others use like chegg.com or online sites for borrowing that help you save a lot of money on books.

Clothes: From personal experience. Trying to get those clothes that make you look classy would put you in debt and put holes in your account. It is very expensive to try to dress like the girls at you college that wear heels and expensive dresses all the time. No one says that you have to dress like Jennifer Lopez in college. It is very important to dress well and be addressed like a mature adult but there is no need to try to wear the most expensive dresses. The best way is to manage what you have and not envy what others have.

Social events: There are a lot of events that you can go to and get free stuff. Free food too. It is important to go there and make friends and also be able to socialize with people and get all the help you need. There will be a lot of them and going to them is very important to get involved in the community.

In total, with all those steps you would save a lot in your study abroad experience.
