Main Street 2015.

The biggest event on my campus is called Main Street. It the event where all the organizations on my campus come together to display what they are about. It is so big that the indoors of Attwood was not spacious enough for it.The outside of Attwood was where the event happened. The event was very big. There are over 350 organizations at my school. It can be intimidating to go to all the booths and ask for information. The event is targeted mostly at freshmen who are new and trying to see way to get involved and are trying to get as much information as they can. Imagine that you are trying to choose an organization to join and you are told to choose from 250 organizations? How would you start to filter them?

I would start my own filtering from the ones I am passionate about, my major and what I can do to make a difference. I will then speak to those in charge and ask how I can join.

So my particular role was to be the president of the HonorSociety and to represent the organization at Mainstreet, I got there with all my materials and then I started to table. The sun was so powerful that I thought I was going to be burnt. I got to meet so many people and I got to talk about the organization. I got to be a leader and I got excited to be at the top. I had worked hard a lot and now I had become the president of my organization. I got to talk to people and introduced myself to new people. I had a productive day because I accomplished all my tasks and even more.

Being a president is a big position that comes with responsibilities and duites.It can be intimidating at first but it gets easier as time goes on. I have learnt to walk my own lane and be happy with all my accomplishments without comparing myself to others. I believe that being hard working has rewards in the long term.
