Servant Leader
What does it mean to me to be a leader?
Hi, My name is Jordan, and while I like to think my story is nothing special, I truly offer a unique story behind this peppy personality. While professionally, I am a Human Resources Management Master's Student working as a Talent Acquisition Specialist for Lowe's. Behind the scenes, I am a dog mom, Military Spouse, and caregiver to a Recovering Service Member. Leadership presents itself differently within each aspect of my life; however, I personally try to offer an authentic leadership style that I can channel across all aspects of my day-to-day life. This is why I present myself as a servant leader.
Servant leadership is not just a leadership style, but far more. The philosophy behind servant leadership is to serve, which encapsulates my personal and professional goals entirely. The servant leadership style differs from traditional leadership, where the leader thrives off the organization's successes. A servant leader puts on their gloves and steps down to work alongside their team. While I cannot explain how I utilize this as a dog mom, I can say that as a wife, military spouse, and caregiver, I don't lead; I serve.
