Honor Society® Expert FAQ
What is the difference between AI tutoring and traditional tutoring?
AI tutoring can offer immediate practice and alternative explanations, while human tutoring can provide informed diagnosis, dialogue, and accountability. Neither format helps much if it simply completes the student’s work.
Choose the form of help that fits the difficulty
An AI assistant may be convenient for a quick question, but it can miss a misconception or confidently teach an incorrect method. A qualified tutor can examine your reasoning and adapt to the course, although availability, expertise, and teaching fit still vary. Check what your campus provides before assuming paid tutoring is necessary.
Use the formats together when appropriate: attempt a problem, use permitted practice assistance, and bring persistent confusion to a tutor. Evaluate the result by whether you can explain or solve a new task independently. Follow the same course-integrity rules regardless of who or what supplies the help.
Your next steps
- Identify whether you need practice, explanation, or diagnosis.
- Check campus tutoring and permitted AI options.
- Test independent understanding after the help.
