Honor Society® Expert FAQ

What scholarships are available for business majors?

Business majors can search their college’s business school, employers, community organizations, and professional associations for scholarships. Awards may focus on a particular field such as accounting, finance, marketing, management, or entrepreneurship.

Search by specialization as well as major

Check whether the award includes your degree level and whether you must already be admitted to the business program. Some providers require completed coursework, local connections, or a stated career interest. A general “business” label does not establish eligibility for every specialty award.

Use relevant examples from coursework, paid work, service, or a project. If you discuss a business idea, distinguish a proposal from an operating venture and estimated results from actual results. Clear evidence matters more than inflated entrepreneurial language.

Put the answer into practice

  • Ask the business school about departmental applications.
  • Search professional groups connected to your intended field.
  • Check degree, major, location, and enrollment conditions.
  • Prepare specific evidence of decisions and contribution.

The achievement inventory helps organize your examples. Review each provider’s current rules instead of relying on a list that may contain expired awards.
