About
Hi, I’m Amanda Collins! I’m a proud mom of four daughters, a military spouse, and a dedicated college student currently pursuing my Bachelor of Science in Applied Psychology at the University of Phoenix.
I earned my associate degree from Southern New Hampshire University in 2021 and have consistently maintained a place on the Dean’s List throughout my bachelor’s degree program.
Balancing motherhood, family responsibilities, and higher education hasn’t always been easy, but it’s taught me the importance of determination, resilience, and never giving up on my goals.
My passion for psychology comes from wanting to better understand people, their experiences, and the challenges they face. After completing my bachelor’s degree, I plan to pursue a master’s degree and eventually become a licensed mental health counselor.
I believe it’s never too late to continue learning, pursue your dreams, or build a future you’re proud of. As a mother, I also hope my educational journey teaches my daughters that hard work and determination can open doors at any stage of life.

My long-term career goal is to become a licensed mental health counselor. I want to help individuals and families navigate mental health challenges, overcome difficult experiences, and develop healthier ways of coping. I’m especially passionate about advocating for mental health awareness and creating a supportive environment where people feel heard, understood, and accepted.

After completing my Bachelor of Science in Applied Psychology in November 2026, I plan to begin graduate school in January 2027. I’m interested in pursuing a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling that will prepare me for professional licensure. My academic interests include counseling techniques, mental health disorders, trauma, child and adolescent development, and family dynamics.
- Outside the classroom
Outside of school, I’m a proud mom of four daughters and a military spouse. Much of my time is spent raising my children, homeschooling, and supporting my family. I’m also passionate about connecting with others through social media, sharing real-life experiences, and building a supportive online community. Being a mother while pursuing my education has strengthened my time management, patience, and determination. I enjoy learning new things, advocating for others, and finding ways to make a positive difference in people’s lives.
