About (Summary)

Currently I am pursuing to attend Capella University in the Master’s Program of Information Assurance and Security with the concentration of Network Defense. In my master’s program I have maintained a 4.0 received two five hundred dollar scholarships. I will complete my masters in a year and a half if sticking to my rigorous plans and studies. Prior my Masters I attended Southern University A&M College in Baton Rouge Louisiana as a first generation pursuing Computer Science Scientific option as my major. raised in a military household by my mother Carla Ebbs and My Step-Father Karey Ebbs. I chose this major scientific option because it is designed to provide the students from Southern University of Baton Rouge with a firm foundation for graduate study, scientific research, and careers in scientific computing and high level programming and designing programs from scratch. Languages include C, C#, C++, JAVA, database management SQL. During My enrollment I received numerous awards for Deans List. Furthermore, in my most recent position I work for the city of Baton Rouge as a Computer Electronic Systems Technician at the Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport. I have Excellent experience in computers/electronics systems I have received certificates for completing training in Project Management 2010, Configuring and Troubleshooting Windows Server 2008, CompTIA Security+, Software-House, and Certified Ethical Hacker. Also working at the Airport I passed arduous test to receive my Airport Operation Area Badge it give me access to restricted ground areas of the airport, communicate with towers, and install, maintain Access Control/Cameras. I have the ability to prepare necessary documents, retrieve data, fix corrupted data, and computers. I am accustomed to handling sensitive, confidential records. Demonstrated and have and the talent for quickly mastering technology. I am Diplomatic and tactful with professionals and non-professionals work ethics and opening to advancing with courses and certification that will make mean asset to any company that I will work for. I preformed may professional projects at my current employment which consist of Rotunda & Terminal Modification that consist of Cabling infrastruction (Post Security), Access Control Security Doors Implementation, Rotunda Speaker & Paging, TSA coordination Center Cabling and LCD Display Datasheets and Secondly VOIP Phone System Upgrade. Even Running CAT5 cables for Secret Service for the 44th President of the United States at the Baton Rouge Airport. Also During my studies I am a member of Women in Technology International (WITI), National Organization for Women (NOW) and also a community service organization founded in Baton Rouge known as Omega Tau Pi Sorority Incorporate (QTPi). Over the years I have offered my services to several charities and non-profit groups. They include but is not limited to: the Big Buddy program, Girl Scouts of America, the Crisis Hotline, various nursing homes, the Our Lady of the Lake Children's Ward, the Sickle Cell Anemia Foundation, Baton Rouge Zoo during their Boo at the Zoo festivities, the Louisiana Book Festival, Mid-City Fix-up and the list goes on. In addition I am active on various campuses. They have served as an ambassador for schools, volunteers for school-wide events, and they also sponsor programs designed to empower and support women.

Intended Job Path

As a child I always wanted to work for the government as a Civilian. What ever my future holds I want to be an asset to a company. Because of my future goal I chose to pursue my masters in Information Assurance and Security with the concentration of Network Defense. This Degree is the start of my future but with this degree I can inspire may people. People that believe its too late, has no funding, or just too may setbacks in life that may stop them from seeking a higher education. I am a walking testimony that if you make goals for yourself you can achieve anything with hard-work and dedication. I have put in many job applications, scholarships and worked three jobs trying to get close to my goals. Even if I applied for a million things and get back five that will not stop my dreams. Life was never easy for me and that is what keeps me going and keeps me humble. I say this because what I am doing now is not for me, its for my legacy!
