My Accomplishments

Jan 04,2018

I came from a small, beautiful Island in the Caribbean, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. I am the eldest of my mom and father’s kids. I am also the first one in my family to attend college both at home and in the United States. When I first came here to live in Texas with my uncle, I was so excited. I was excited that I had given the opportunity to further my education so that I can make things better in life for my family. The cultural differences were a bit challenging for me because a lot of things was so different. The food was different, the way people dressed, some of the things he did, and, I was trying to get adjusting to the time. Back home, once the clock strikes 6, it began to get dark. Here in the states, the sun is still hot and that was kind of shocking to me.

Phi Theta Kappa

I had graduated from Southwestern Christian College with a GPA of 3.5. I was inducted into Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society in November 2011. That was one of my proudest moments in life. I was so happy that I was able to achieve something that will follow me for the rest of my life that my kids will be proud of. After Graduating Cum Laude from Southwestern Christian College, I went to the Abilene Christian University where I studied Business Administration.

Bachelor’s Degree

In May 2016, I had graduated with my Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. I was later on placed on Who's Who Among Students In American Universities and Colleges. Proud of myself. I had decided that I want to go on further and continue my education.

Author

Becoming an author was never in my dream. When the idea of me publishing a book came to my mind, I thought that I was crazy. I didn’t know it was going to be accomplished and that I would actually wear the title of an author. Today, I can proudly say that I have completed my first book and had successfully gotten it published.

Hopefully, I can get to start working on my law degree. I want to pursue a career in becoming a lawyer and with the grace of God, I hope to one day be an attorney. I have learned that no matter what people may say about you in life, once your mind is set on achieving something, you can. Just put your complete trust in God and he will make a way for you.
