Honor Society® Expert FAQ

Can online college students get student discounts?

Online college students may qualify for student discounts when their institution and enrollment meet the provider’s rules. Studying online does not automatically exclude a student, but it also does not establish eligibility for every offer.

Check institution and enrollment rules for each offer

Check whether the program covers your school, country, level of study, and enrollment status. Some providers limit offers to particular accredited institutions or eligible student categories. A short online course or non-degree subscription may be treated differently from enrollment in a degree program. Ask the provider if the published conditions do not address your situation.

Use the same authorized verification process as other applicants. Current enrollment documentation may help when a school email is unavailable, if the provider accepts it. Honor Society’s benefits catalog offers another way to compare member benefits and access requirements, independently of provider-run student promotions. Start with school-provided software and services so you do not pay for access already included in your studies.

Your next steps

  • Check your institution and enrollment category against the offer.
  • Use current evidence through the official verification process.
  • Compare the discount with services already provided by your college.
