I am currently a full time second semester Junior at Alverno College in Milwaukee, Wisconsin studying Nursing and minoring in Business Management. I started right out of high school in August 2013. I plan to graduate in May 2017 and will then take my boards to get my RN license. I recently started hospital clinical where I am broadening my knowledge of working with patients. I recently received a Doherty Scholar award in January 2016 for my strong leadership skills in the classroom and high academic achievements. In order to keep my Scholar I need to volunteer around campus or attend seminars throughout the semester. I also get first pick on scholarships, internships and job oppurtunities. I currently am able to tutor seven different classes at Alverno College most of them being nursing classes. I have been recommended by each instructor to tutor these specific classes from my class participation and high academic achievement while being in the class. I also am running two study groups for nursing students for pharmacology and nutrition classes. This summer I am planning to travel to Dublin, Ireland to study at the University College Dublin to study Nursing research. Outside of Alverno College I work part time at Froedtert Lutheran Memorial Hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin as a Patient Care Assistant. I have been working there since April 2015 where I work under a nurse assisting in care of patients on a urology, gynecology, and gynecology/oncology floor. I am also employed at Linden Grove which is a rehab nursing facility where I work as a Certified Nursing Assistant. I have been there since June 2013. I have a strong background working with geriatrics and a strong customer service skill. I am motivated and determine to continue to work hard at my leadership and high academic achievements. I am more motivated then ever to continue to learn, pursue excellence and be passionate and determined with everything I do.
