Dr. Elton Powell: Rebuilding Lives, One Person at a Time

Dr. Elton Powell is truly committed to family and community. His lifelong commitment has allowed him to achieve so much. He has provided food and clothing for families who are homeless, using his own resources, while teaching families to eat right and to move more. A civil rights activist for those who are wrongly accused and incarcerated. Dr. Powell counsels and coach youth and young adults who are challenged, provides resources and referrals for incarcerated citizens who are returning back to society. An regional captain for All Pro Dad, former major for the IPFCA,International, Police/Fire Chaplin Association, First Responder. He is educator and the author of the poetic pictorial Why Shiuld I Care? Dr. Elton Powell has been in ministry for over 36 years and now working through his non-profit organization Nehemiah Development Inc. to receive federal subcontracting contracts, to help keep small business up and running while offering job opportunities to those who are unemployed. Dr. Powell is married to the love of his life Vicky. They have 6 young adults, Corinthian, James, Jasmine, Marquis. Zharia and Christian.
