The Honorable Definition of Freedom of Speech?

Jun 05,2017

People got to stop condoning this reckless and abusive social media-driven child with a mean toy mentality, behavior; if we as a society, are ever to have a hope in ever again reigning it into reasonable and sane levels before the blowback makes this impossible to redirect the negativity into more useful and meaningful channels than hate speak. Which, by and by--is NOT protected under Free Speech. Nowhere does it say in the Constitution that free speech is meant to be the vehicle of liberty, by using it to terrorize fellow Americans or other societies. Show me the actual clause that endows that unalienable right to be malicious and hide behind the cause of Free Speech and expression. There is the high road, the low road--and the middle of the road. American Citizenship is supposed to be the golden standard of liberty, right? The sterling example? American Citizenship is all about a much higher magnitude of integrity and model behavior, is it not? America is all about advanced citizenship--it's not for the faint of heart, the baser tyrant in us all, or the ossified cultural throwback to the worst mankind has to offer. It is supposed to be the shining beacon, the mark of the best democracy itself has to offer up to the world at large. The democracy that sets the bar. I seem to remember that bit of American lore, from somewhere. Maybe it's time we live up to our own democratic, billing.
