# Leading With Purpose: My Journey of Academic Excellence, Healthcare Leadership, and Community Service

Education, leadership, and service have always been important parts of my personal and professional journey. I believe that true success is not measured solely by academic accomplishments or professional titles, but also by the positive impact we make in the lives of others.

My educational journey began at Lane College, where I attended from 1991 to 1994. Although I did not obtain a degree during that time, the experience contributed to my personal growth and helped shape my continued commitment to education, health, and service. I later earned a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education from Middle Tennessee State University in 1999. That educational foundation strengthened my understanding of health, wellness, and the importance of supporting individuals and communities.

Today, I continue to pursue academic excellence through my graduate studies in Healthcare Administration and Public Health at Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU). These educational experiences are strengthening my knowledge of healthcare systems, public health policy, health disparities, organizational leadership, and strategies for improving healthcare outcomes.

Throughout my professional career, I have developed valuable experience in healthcare operations, employee development, performance management, and organizational compliance. My work has reinforced the importance of effective communication, accountability, teamwork, and compassionate leadership. I strongly believe that successful healthcare leaders must understand not only operational performance but also the human experiences behind every decision.

Beyond my professional responsibilities, community service remains one of my greatest passions. As a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, I actively participate in initiatives supporting community development, education, health awareness, and civic engagement. My involvement in community cleanup efforts, nonprofit partnerships, and annual 5K activities reflects my commitment to making a meaningful difference beyond the workplace.

One of the most important lessons I have learned is that leadership is not defined by a position or title. Leadership is demonstrated through service, integrity, perseverance, and the willingness to inspire others.

Being part of an honor society represents more than academic recognition. It symbolizes dedication, personal growth, lifelong learning, and a responsibility to use knowledge and experience to create positive change.

As I continue my educational and professional journey, my goal is to advance into greater healthcare leadership opportunities while advocating for equitable access to quality healthcare and improved health outcomes for underserved communities.

I hope my journey encourages others to recognize that it is never too late to pursue additional education, embrace new opportunities, or make a difference.

My personal philosophy is simple: Lead with integrity, serve with compassion, pursue excellence, and never stop learning.
