Massacres and Innocent Lives

On July 15th 2016 Nice, France came under the attack of terrorist pledging his allegiance to Isis. This attack occurred during a firework display by the beach to celebrate Bastille Day. Thousands of people from resident’s to tourists had all gathered to watch the beautiful display that evening. That celebration was unfortunately cut short when a man decided to drive a truck down a road filled with dozens of people including children. In his path a total of 80 people were killed including two American tourists and several children. The people of France woke up that day excited to celebrate Bastille Day; children looking forward to the firework display that evening. What should have been a joyous day of celebration was turned into a horrific blood bath and good memories were dashed with traumatic memories all because one man decided he was going to kill innocent lives with no remorse or care once so ever as to who got hit.

I hate to say it but there used to be a time when criminals would never bring harm to senior citizens and children. As sad as that sounds it was true, these days they just kill everyone people who are innocent and just minding their own business are being killed. The horrible part is that their killing children little ones who cannot even comprehend what’s happening or even understand, I have just one simple question “Why?”  What could a person be so angry about that you could willing and knowingly kill innocent lives? What kind of person are you to target a certain group of people like the Orlando Nightclub shooting or kill children while there at school a place that is supposed to be safe like the Sandy Hook Elementary School Massacre. These are a few events to name a few that show how innocent lives are still being taken; people who have never harmed a soul a day in their lives or haven’t even been alive long enough to truly make an impact in this world.  How many more events like the Orlando Nightclub shooting, Dallas, Texas police massacre etc. before it clicks that gun laws need to be change because high powered weapons keep ending up in the wrong hands leaving innocent citizen’s to pay for our careless mistakes.

We as society keep saying and hear on a daily basis were going to change gun laws and gun control; enforce more regulation’s, test and training to ensure the wrong people do not get a hold of weapons.  Yet as we continue to talk about the changes were going to make silly mistakes are still being made and more massacres are occurring. It’s time we all stand together as not just a society but a country and for the victims of the Orlando Night Club shooting, victims of Nice, France, the two victims of police brutality and make a change so that they can rest easy in knowing that although I died at least changes were made to prevent another family; another community from experience the heartbreak and pain from yet another tragedy.
