Honor Society® Expert FAQ
Can you accept more than one scholarship?
Usually, you can accept multiple scholarships, provided their terms permit combining awards and your school can include them under applicable aid limits. This is often called scholarship stacking.
What to know before you act
Check both the scholarship agreement and your college’s outside-award policy. Some awards cannot be combined with particular institutional scholarships, while others are limited to tuition remaining after other grants. A larger total award does not always produce an equal reduction in your out-of-pocket cost.
Honor Society’s scholarship collection can complement a search for campus and community awards. That gives you several places to identify a good fit without relying on a single competition. Eligibility and selection remain award-specific; applying for one does not guarantee receiving another.
Your next steps
- Create one list of all confirmed awards and restrictions.
- Report awards before finalizing your aid package.
- Ask which aid changes if you accept another scholarship.
